A stroll through Fairbanks is truly an experience. A rare blend of fine arts, botanical gardens and rich history makes the “Golden Heart” city a treasure unto itself. And speaking of treasure, Fairbanks is well known for its Gold Rush history. With many historic attractions, you’ll want to try your hand at gold panning. Who knows? You may even uncover the perfect gold nugget souvenir.

Paddleboat up the river to the heart of the Alaskan wilderness. During your three and a half hour cruise, you'll see all the pristine beauty this frontier setting provides. You'll also hear from Alaska Native guides, who'll take you to a Chena Indian Village, where you'll learn more about ancient and modern Athabascan Indian culture.
Day 3 Denali National Park

Carved by Ice Age glaciers, the beautiful Denali National Park now contains abundant crystalline fresh water lakes and ponds that refresh a bounty of natural wildlife. From the iconic grizzly bear, to the caribou, wolves, sheep and moose that call this National Park home, your guided sightseeing of Denali will indubitably lead to impressive sights and an overall interactive learning experience. Keep an eye out for the awesome 20,310 foot Mount McKinley, always majestic, daunting and impressive.
Day 4 Denali--Anchorage via Talkeetna

Downtown Talkeetna, classified as a National Historic Site, is nestled at the base of North America’s tallest peak, Denali, located on Mt. McKinley. With an array of adventure sports and dazzling terrain, the region attracts visitors from across the globe, giving the town an international flavor that has helped shape its legends, lore and history.

Day 5 Alaska's glaciers

Details: Anchorage Museum visit
The recently renovated and expanded Anchorage museum offers presents an overview of Alaska's rich history and an introduction to its varied culture. Life-size dioramas show Alaskan homes and work environments from the 1920s; traditional village dwellings of Alaska's Aleuts and Eskimos; homes of early Russian settlers and Gold Rush-era pioneers; and an actual piece of the Alaska Pipeline.
