Boston: The Hub

June 5, 2017  -  June 8, 2017

Well, the tour today was multifaceted! Three small groups arriving at different times and they thought they would not know each other but... it turned out that the two of the groups knew each other and in fact....lived on the next street but went to a different school. So it was reunion time for many. We started with a tour of Fenway Park, after a run by the Boston Common and Cheers. Then the first group toured on foot the Fenway area including walking past Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Museum of Fine arts, and waiting at Au Bon Pan to be picked up later by the two other groups that arrived around 3:45 and 4:45.....These two new arrivals went and joined up with the earlier group and we took a tour by couch, crossing the Boston Marathon Finish Line, a quick and around Copley Square, and got out at Cheers for a photo op, and a walk through the Public Gardens and on to Fire and Ice for fantastic cook to order dinner by expert chefs. We used our phones to look up the history of many spots which was fun. Then boarded our coach and circled Fenway Park, Crossed over the Harvard Bridge, rode by the Frank Gehry architecture and MIT Campus, and then came through the Cambridge side to the Salt and Pepper Bridge and then by highway to our North Shore Hotel arriving by 9pm for a well needed early bedtime.
