Today saw the group conquer Edinburgh, beginning with a coach and walking tour of Scotland's capital. Our lovely guide Sabela, took us through the old and new towns (both old) and we saw sights such as Robert Louis Stevenson's house, Princes Street, the Walter Scott Monument and Arthur's Seat. We climbed Calton Hill for the postcard view of Edinburgh and of course, saw the castle. After lunch, the group went to the castle, dead on 1pm, to see (or more hear) the cannon fire its daily shot and then to explore the famous rocktop fortress. The rest of the afternoon was free for the group to explore the rest of the city and do some souvenir shopping at their leisure, before having a traditional British roast/carvery for dinner. Tomorrow, it'll be time to take the train south to another of the UK's capital cities and this time it's biggest - London.
