Hello everyone!!!!
This is Pável (I go by Pav), and I will be your Tour Director on your upcoming Explorica tour in Costa Rica. I just thought I would introduce myself and tell you how much I am looking forward to meeting you and leading your Explorica tour. We are so happy you are going to visit us in this beautiful and diverse country in Central America.
During our trip, we will have a very nice itinerary, with many cool activities and educational experiences. Some of them would be visiting a Coffee Plantation and a Coffee Processing Plant in the slopes of the Poás Volcano and we will learn about the role this plant has in Costa Rica. We will also hike among the lava flows in the Tropical Rain Forest of the Arenal Volcano. We will enjoy some water activities, like kayaking at Arenal Lake (the largest lake in the country) and relaxing at the hot springs in the Arenal Volcano slopes.
In the Central Pacific Coast we are going to see the largest dwellers of the Tárcoles River, really big prehistoric reptiles. Also, we will visit the Manuel Antonio National Park, one of its kind. The forest in this park is a mix between the Tropical Dry Forest of the north and the Tropical Rain Forest of the south of the Costa Rican Pacific Coast. We will have the chance to spot lots of wildlife, like monkeys, iguanas, coatis, boas, deer and sloth among other and many interesting plants, like mangrove trees and Heliconias.
We will be volunteering at Natuwa Wildlife Sanctuary, so we will experience at first hand a tropical wildlife refuge and rescue center. We will live a Canoy Tour (zip lining) in the Jacó area and in our last day we will experience a Whitewater Rafting Tour!
Finally, we will have time for shopping, eating Costa Rican food, spending time at the beach and many others, all along with time at leisure to explore Costa Rica the way you prefer.
