First thing in the morning, we experienced the tea ceremony at Maikoya. The tea ceremony teacher praised us for being very good students who were positive and eager to learn about Japanese culture. Next, we went to Kinkakuji, temple the most gorgeous Zen temple. The weather was good and we experienced the masterpiece created by Shogun Yoshimitsu. For lunch, we enjoyed Kyoto cuisine and sweets at Nishiki Market and bought souvenirs. Finally, we enjoyed the spectacular view of Kyoto city from the stage of Kiyomizu-dera temple, the most popular spot in Kyoto. For dinner, we enjoyed a ramen restaurant near the hotel that the students found. I was surprised at how energetic the students were. Not one of them got sick during the trip.
