Ms. Mekelburg's Québec: Carnaval

February 16, 2019  -  February 19, 2019

Our tour got off to an early start yesterday, leaving the school very early in the morning. After a long bus ride, the group finally reached the border, where we began searching for a currency exchange building, eventually settling on a TD bank. The bank plaza also had food options such as Tim Horton's, A&W, and Burger King, so many of us helped ourselves to food as well. Because of the delay with the bank, the school group was a bit late arriving in Quebec City. But we made the best of it by immediately heading to the center of old town where we talked about the history behind the walls surrounding Quebec City, and the Chateau Frontenac. Then we walked through Carnival to the "Maison du Spaghetti" where we enjoyed an awesome pasta dinner. We took the attached picture just behind the Maison du Spaghetti, one street down from the main Carnival festivities. We arrived back at the hotel around 9:30 where students were given free time until 10:30 before heading off to bed.
