Day 3: March 23, 2025
We’ve had a really fun day today. First of all we went to Coster Diamonds, where we learnt all about the cuts and carats of diamonds. Then we had a beautiful cruise of Amsterdam’s canals and discovered their history.
After lunch we met our local guide and bus driver who took us to Zaanse Schaans where we saw some windmills. Some of us even went up inside a working windmill and had a lovely view out from the terrace. We even had beautiful, sunny weather for the afternoon! Then it was off to see a pretty harbour town called Volendam. It looked idilc.
This evening we tried some Indonesian food at an Indonesian restaurant. Indonesian restaurants are popular found due to Amsterdam’s history.
After a walk along the canals this evening , we went to Anne Frank’s House , which was very thought provoking.
Then once last tram ride before heading back to our hotel and getting ready for tomorrow.
