Williams Québec City: Four Day Winter Tour

January 31, 2012  -  February 3, 2012

Bonjour gang! C'est Jocelyne, votre guide touristique! We've just settled in at our hotel just outside of Quebec City. Today was a long day for you folks, starting with an early airport meeting in Edmonton. Both of the flights went smoothly and you landed in Quebec City even a little early! After stopping off to check-in at the hotel, we made our way to the beautiful centre-ville de Quebec! The sight-seeing started with an up-close look at the Chateau Frontenac and a wonderful view out over the Saint-Laurent river- students were struck by the view and the beauty of the city and its surrounding. Walking through the enchanting cobble-stone streets of old Quebec, we made our way to dinner. There, students enjoyed a great first meal. Afterward, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse (and maybe even a photo!) of the Bonhomme Carnaval just next to where we had been eating- wow, so lucky!!! After that we hiked up to the Carnaval and checked out the cool Palais de Bonhomme and saw lots of really neat ice sculptures, both finished and in-the-works. It was really cool to see how artists and their teams take a huge blocks of snow and turn them into something so impressive! After that long day, students (and the adults!) were ready to head back to the hotel to relax before the end of the day. I had a wonderful first day and I can't wait to get to know you all better and show you around one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen! Bonne nuit tout la monde :) Jocelyne
