Day 1: May 6, 2024
The group arrived early and we headed to Arlington National Cemetery. We walked over 2 miles to visit the JFK eternal flame, the Custis Mansion/Arlington House and watch the Changing of the Guard. After lunch at Fashion Centre/Pentagon City Mall, the group explored the National Museum of Natural History. From there, we walked to the National Archives and saw our three Founding Documents (Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights). Souvenir shopping was next with dinner at Unos/Union Station. We finished our day at the Big Three Memorials...Lincoln, Vietnam and Korea....realizing that Freedom is Not Free.
