Day 9: October 30, 2009
Shalom everybody. Today we started our day with a visit in Ein Karem. It is a little village out of the centre of Jerusalem where there we believe that St. John the Baptist was born. We visited first the Church of St. John. It has a beautiful garden and inside one can enter in the cave of the nativity. The church inside is covered with blue and white tales. It is very pretty. We also got the chance to walk up the hill and enter in the Visitation Church. There we believe that the Virgin Mary visited Elisabeth, the mother of St. John the Baptist. Not everybody went till the visitation church. Some preferred to enjoy a coffee in a nice little place but we all met at the end there and took some time to relax. We then went to the Yad Vashem Museum. It is a museum in the memory of the Holocaust and of all the people that were killed by the Nazis during the Second World War. It was a very Power full visit and we were touched when we met all again at the exit. As it was raining at that time we decided to have a bite and stopped for lunch. And there we were on our way to the Garden Tomb. T stopped to rain as we started the visit there. Bob was our guide. It was a nice way to finish our day; everybody enjoyed a lot this important site. After that Egal drove as back to the hotel Gold. We rested a little bit, had dinner and now are sitting at our favourite place in the lobby area which is the Library. Everybody is fine and sending blessings from the Holy Land.
