Venice, a dream! If Silvana hadn't told us that everything here is authentic, we could have thought of being in a kind of historical amusement park. A town built completely on the water! No streets, no cars but canals and boats, instead. Here public buses do not exist: you have to take a boat. Police doesn't have cars, but boats. Ambulances are boats. Firemen are on boats. Postmen deliver mail using boats. Whatever you may think normally all over the world moves on tires, here is a boat!!!! Our day starts with a.... boat ride (of course) to the island of Murano in order to visit a glass factory where an artisan shows us how they work this delicate item. How he can be so fast and precise is something that we would like to know!. Then we transfer to Venice's main square, St. Mark's. Our local guide is there ready to explain us the main monuments of the town. Doge's Palace, first, with its magnificent rooms. Difficult to think that somebody really lived there! And then the unbelievable St. Mark's Basilica. It looks like an Arabic Palace. All those mosaics, the arches, the original shape of the façade, everything gives us the idea of being in an oriental fairy tail. Today we have a lot of pictures to take! The sightseeing finishes just when it is time for us to have lunch. Immediately after it we take a ride on the gondola, the little tiny venetian rowboat. The rest of the day? On our own in order to explore the small streets of Venice. A labirinth. Fun!!!! Venice, what an incredible place!
