Wow! Exploricans, you’ve done it again. Thank you for submitting such fantastic images to our annual photo contest. It was incredibly difficult to choose just a handful of winners from the hundreds of great images we received, but here are the photos that stood out from the rest:
Let’s be honest, just by going on an Explorica tour, you know you’re going to have an immersive experience and plenty of photos to prove it. But can your photos top being stuck in the most peculiar kind of traffic while getting a gorgeous view of Santorini, Greece? That’s an experience, Andrew M. will likely never forget when he took this shot.
Explorica offers unique tours through major Canadian history landmarks and monuments that remind us of impact of past wars. Here is a great shot of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in Vimy, France taken by Laura B. that truly shows the size of the monument; reflecting not only the historical importance of the Battle of Vimy Ridge but only its’ relevance in the progress of Canada’s confederation.
There are two kinds of people. Those who love selfie sticks and those who hate them. You’re free to pick your side but you have to admit, Keiran M. took a pretty epic selfie photo with his class in Amsterdam, Netherlands. And although we don’t endorse climbing major landmarks, we’ve got to applaud Keiran for a shot that’s far more creative than the standard “I Am Amsterdam” photos that we’re all used to.
Anika L. took a fantastic shot overlooking Argolid from the Citadel of Mycenae in Greece. With talent in photography to showcase and a knack for finding a great view of the archaeologically significant valley, it’s easy to see why this moment is absolutely awe-inspiring.
We received many great local interaction photos but nothing beats Isabella D.‘s shot showing utter excitement and enthusiasm in London, UK while interacting with an equally enthusiastic local. Love the sunglasses!
