How many holiday sweaters do you really need (or want) living in the back of your closet? This year, let your family and friends know that they can make a donation towards your upcoming tour instead! But before you ask them to help send you on an educational travel experience you’ll never forget, review these tips:
1. Customize your fundraising page. Be sure that your personal fundraising page looks great! Log into your account and click the “Go to my fundraising page” link in the “Tour Account” module.
Upload a photo of your smiling face and write a personal message to your family and friends explaining why this trip is important to you. Is this your first trip abroad? Have you dreamed of going to this destination since you were little? Show them why a donation is a gift you’ll always remember.
2. Share on social media. Once your page is updated, share it! You can easily post to your favourite social media networks or send personal messages to let your friends know about your upcoming adventure and how they can support you.
3. Send a personal email. When you’re reaching out to your family and friends through email, include some of the details from your itinerary. Let them know that you’re not just visiting London or Paris… You’re visiting Big Ben for the first time or climbing to the top of the Eiffel Tower, and much more.
